Ixigo Reports All-Time High ₹63.42 Cr Net Profit in Q2 FY27 Powered by FreshBus Stake Sale & Hotel Growth

NEW DELHI — Le Travenues Technology Limited, the parent company of AI-led online travel platform ixigo, announced its financial results for the second quarter ending September 30, FY27. The company posted a record consolidated Net Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹63.42 crore, representing a sharp turnaround from a net loss of ₹3.46 crore reported in the same period last year.

The surging profitability was heavily buoyed by an exceptional gain of ₹40.66 crore following the partial divestment of ixigo's equity stake in EV bus operator Freshbus, along with non-operating other income of ₹22.1 crore.

Key Financial Highlights (Q2 FY27)

  • Revenue from Operations: Grew 12.9% YoY to reach ₹320.96 crore, up from ₹284.23 crore in Q2 FY26.

  • Gross Transaction Value (GTV): Reached ₹5,304.47 crore, marking a 22% increase compared to the previous year.

  • Net Profit (PAT): Touched an all-time high of ₹63.42 crore, expanding margins to 18.49%.

  • Cash Reserves: Cash and cash equivalents doubled to ₹640.53 crore as of September 30, 2026.

  • Profit Before Exceptional Items & Tax: Stood at ₹31.04 crore, reflecting healthy core operations compared to a loss of ₹4 crore in Q2 FY26.

FreshBus Exit and Non-Operating Boost

In August 2026, ixigo executed a partial sale of its stake in EV intercity bus operator Freshbus for ₹36.6 crore, reducing its holding from 25.66% to 8.27%. The resulting gain of ₹40.66 crore included both the divestment proceeds and the fair-value remeasurement of its retained stake. Consequently, Freshbus ceased to be an associate entity of ixigo.

Additionally, other income—derived primarily from interest on short-term deposits and cash investments—rose to ₹22.1 crore, driving total quarterly income up to ₹343.04 crore.

Hotels Emerge as the Fastest-Growing Segment

The Hotels division delivered stellar top-line performance, with GTV soaring 159% YoY to ₹111.34 crore. Revenue for the segment surged over 527% to reach ₹8.10 crore. This was the first quarter where ixigo reported hotels as an independent reporting line item following strategic focus and integration of acquired assets like Brevistay.

Strategic Outlook & Leadership Statement

In a joint statement, Group CEO Aloke Bajpai, Group Co-CEO Rajnish Kumar, and Group CFO Saurabh Devendra Singh highlighted that the company's strong capital position will fuel its next expansion phase.

"Our record-breaking profit this quarter reflects both our operational resilience and strategic capital discipline. Moving forward, we will continue investing aggressively in our hotel ecosystem, organic cross-selling, and generative AI features to deepen customer engagement across Next Billion Users in India."

With cash reserves swelling to over ₹640 crore, ixigo is well-positioned to expand its technology moat and evaluate synergistic M&A opportunities in the travel ecosystem.
