FirstCry Reports ₹2,099 Cr Revenue, ₹111 Cr EBITDA in H1 FY26
Brainbees Solutions, the parent company of the omnichannel kidswear retailer FirstCry, continued to grow its revenue base while narrowing its losses in the September quarter (Q2 FY26). The specific figures cited in the headline refer to the company's performance for the first half of the fiscal year (H1 FY26).
Q2 FY26 Performance Highlights
Operating Revenue: Rose 10% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹2,099.1 crore (approximately ₹2,100 crore).
Including other income of ₹38.2 crore, the total income for the quarter stood at ₹2,137.3 crore.
Adjusted EBITDA (Q2 FY26): Grew 51% YoY to ₹120.8 crore.
Net Loss: Narrowed by 20% YoY to ₹50.5 crore, an improvement from ₹62.9 crore in Q2 FY25. On a sequential basis, the loss reduced by 24% from ₹66.5 crore in Q1 FY26.
Total Expenses: Increased 10% YoY to ₹2,036.9 crore.
GMV (Gross Merchandise Value): Expanded 11% to ₹2,819.2 crore, driven by an 11% rise in its unique transacting customer base, which reached about 1.1 crore during the quarter.
H1 FY26 (First Half of FY26) Performance

Positive EBITDA (H1 FY26): The company posted a positive EBITDA of ₹111 crore for the six-month period.

Procurement Costs: Accounted for the largest share of spending at 61% of the total, rising 11% YoY to ₹1,329 crore.
Employee Benefits: Rose to ₹203 crore, including ₹59 crore of ESOP expenses.
Segment Performance (Operating Revenue Contribution):
Product Sales: 77% of the operating revenue came from the sale of products through its India and international channels.
India Multi-Channel Business:
Revenue increased 8% YoY to ₹1,381.1 crore.
Profit improved 26% to ₹58.2 crore.
Orders served grew 11% to over 1 crore.
International Business:
Revenue rose 13% YoY to ₹235.7 crore.
Loss narrowed 44% YoY to ₹24.4 crore.
The company opened its first Company Owned and Company Operated (COCO) store in Saudi Arabia during the quarter.

Contributed ₹492.9 crore in revenue (a 14% rise).
