Boba Bhai FY26 Revenue Hits ₹68 Crore as Losses Widen to ₹21.8 Crore Amid Rapid Expansion
Bengaluru-headquartered quick-service restaurant (QSR) and beverage chain Boba Bhai has released its financial performance for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026 (FY26), highlighting substantial scale alongside mounting bottom-line pressures. The company posted a 139% surge in revenue from operations, reaching ₹68 crore compared to ₹28.44 crore in FY25. Including ₹1 crore in other income, the startup's total income stood at ₹69 crore for the year. Food and beverage sales remained the primary growth driver, accounting for roughly 99% of total operating revenue.
However, the rapid business expansion came at a steep cost. Boba Bhai’s net losses more than doubled, widening to ₹21.8 crore in FY26 from ₹9.96 crore in the previous fiscal year. Total expenses escalated 2.3 times to reach ₹90.4 crore, driven primarily by rising material costs, employee expenses, and aggressive marketing outlays. Advertising and promotional expenditure jumped 139.9% to ₹13 crore, while delivery commission expenses increased 155.9% to ₹11.44 crore.
Strategic Growth and Future Outlook
Backed by a ₹40 crore funding round secured in March 2026, Boba Bhai continues to scale its physical and digital footprint. The brand currently operates around 100 stores across eight cities, specializing in bubble teas and Korean-inspired QSR food offerings. Looking ahead into FY27, the company plans to widen its footprint to 10 cities and aggressively add another 150 to 200 new outlets, prioritizing market penetration over short-term profitability.
