NEW DELHI — In a major boost to India’s renewable energy and clean-tech manufacturing footprint, Agastya Green Energy Ltd., a division of the Anubhav Agarwal Group, has announced a massive expansion plan worth ₹7,800 crore ($930+ million) to establish integrated 12 GW ingot and wafer manufacturing capabilities.
The new project will be located at the Orvakal Industrial Area in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. It is designed to complement the company's current solar cell and module production infrastructure, effectively creating a fully vertically integrated solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing ecosystem.
The company officially performed the bhumi pooja (groundbreaking ceremony) to mark the onset of construction, which is projected to generate over 3,500 jobs in the region.
